Masterbatch Product Line Manufacturing Support Manager

• Organize and manage the manufacturing support group in order to meet the MB strategy with a maximum of efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Ensure a timely and high quality technical support to the manufacturing sites to optimize manufacturing capacity and process capability.
• Propose Quality and Mfg metrics for MB Global Ops scorecard for review with Global Ops Director
• Propose and lead key global manufacturing improvements
• Lead the MB Quality team and coordinate with the Quality Function for test developments and harmonization
• Lead the MB Global complaints process, resolution and metrics
• Organize and manage the quality aspect of external sourcing of products
• Coordinate the evaluation of new plant or laboratory equipment and recommend for purchase as appropriate
• Provide technical support during hand-over of new products to production
• Working with the Product Support group ensure new raw materials are assessed to determine their suitability in existing formulations or new products
• Ensure good management of product health and safety documentation
• Provide technical leadership to any MB expansion plans or product movements
• Manage the MB Global spare parts inventory
• Ensure a good management of all manufacturing data: collection, correction, etc.
• Ensure the Global Coordination of the Process Control System on MB plants
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and standard business practices, including ISO 9000 standards., as appropriate.
• Recruit and retain a team of specialized employees, ensuring optimization in terms of number and required skills. Ensure their knowledge of the plastics industry and manufacturing is always up-to-date.
• Ensure high performance of the team in terms of quality and efficiency, through Performance Based Management, including appropriate training, coaching, delegation and motivation
