Job Description of Wintel Administrator
Qualification
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in any discipline (IT stream – good to have)
Technical Skills
1 year experience within IT environment
6 to 12 months of Windows Server systems administration experience in enterprise environment
Working Knowledge in Windows Active Directory, TCP/IP, Networking, Server Health Check, Remote Access (PCAnywhere or VNC or Terminal Server or Citrix)
Web Services (IIS) and DNS/DHCP – Good to have
Good communication and customer service skills and the ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment.

Accurate keyboarding skills
Strong interpersonal and telephone skills
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems in a systematic and logical manner, and maintain good communications with all relevant parties throughout troubleshooting process. Must understand and apply existing written instructions
Demonstrates keen interest in continuous learning and professional development
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned tasks, problems and requests.
Must be fluent in the English language with proficiency in written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to collaborate and cooperate with other members of team, and members of other teams.
Ability to identify problems and issues (technical, process, people) encountered and highlight to team leads and managers.
Ability to work in a high pressure environment
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work in a team, able to work independently if necessary.
Ability to work in shifts for 24x7 coverage
General Scope of Work
Incident management - scripted resolution - follows documented instructions (this is the core focus of the CC function).
Operations management – EDN, log and dispatch, scripted routine/scheduled tasks (e.g. routine checks), standard documented requests (e.g. backup/restore), service request administration (if necessary).
