High-level Description
• Provide 2nd level support and maintain the overall Messaging and Active Directory infrastructure.
• Provide Disaster Recovery assistance for Exchange and Active Directory sites, individual servers and individual mailboxes.
• Designs and deploys systems strategies in support of business needs.
• Develop standards and procedures
• Plans, monitors and evaluates performance, efficiency and capacity of messaging systems and makes recommendations for customizations and enhancements.
• Diagnose and resolve problems referred by the 1st level support staff.
• Interfaces with vendors to report and diagnose problems.
• Act as liaison for out-sourced processes
• Perform forensic systems investigations upon request by Security.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience solving highly complex problems and should have demonstrated technical competence and the ability to apply this expertise to develop real world solutions to customer problems. Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• Strong Expertise in MS Exchange 2007 and / or Exchange 2003
• Strong Expertise in Active Directory and Windows 2003 / Windows 2008 technologies.
• Messaging and Windows Certification highly desirable MCSA:Messaging, MSCSE:Messaging or MCITP: Enterprise Messaging Administration
• Experience with large Messaging and Active Directory environments. (3+ years)
• Solid knowledge of mail routing setup and troubleshooting
• Understand in depth knowledge of DNS/WINS/DHCP and LDAP troubleshooting.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments to improve performance/monitoring of Exchange and Domain Controllers/DNS/WINS/DHCP servers
• Advanced technical degree beneficial
• Respond to Customer Service tickets within established SLA requirements
• Knowledge of following technologies would be an advantageous; Blackberry, Ironport, LCS/OCS, Powershell, and Vbscript.
