Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for supporting SQL Server database
Design, build and maintain operational databases for custom-build applications
Design and build schema, indexing, document, and promote security "best
practices", policies, standards and protocols
Familiar with data modeling techniques like entity relationship diagram
using ERWIN / ER STUDIO
Familiar with application modeling (e.g. data flow diagrams,
logical/physical architecture)
Familiar with Data Normalization
Monitoring and tuning SQL Server 2005 database to provide a high
availability service.
Experience of Transactional SQL, DTS stored procedures.
Knowledge on SQL Analysis, Integration & Reporting Services
Capacity Planning - Monitoring table growth and usage patterns
Maintain Production Database mirror environment; Fail Over; Clustering
Backup and recovery methods using Enterprise Manager
Education:
Degree in IT related fields.
MS certifications would be added advantage.
Experience:
> 3 years experience as Database Administrator on a medium sized network of servers and desktop systems using Microsoft technologies.
